The Granite State Ringers (GSR) was organized as a community handbell choir by Mary Divers and Joan Fossum in February of 2007.  Their vision was to offer musicians who are committed to the art of handbell ringing a chance to play a variety of challenging music and to promote handbell repertoire to audiences all over New Hampshire.  GSR is made up of ringers from communities throughout New Hampshire including Keene, Rochester, Concord, Meredith and Laconia.

GSCS Music Director, Daniel Roihl (conductor, performer, composer, educator) has spent the past twenty years sharing his infectious passion for the musical arts with audiences, students, and collaborators of all ages, disciplines, and experience levels. He holds a B.A. from Harvard, an M.M. from Yale, and a D.M.A. from the University of Southern California.
Granite State Ringers director, Joan Fossum has been actively involved with handbells for more than 30 years.  She has served as director of music at South Congregational Church, Concord, NH and Northwood, NH Congregational Church.  Joan did graduate handbell study with Don Allured and has rung with the New England Ringers.  She is a clinician and massed ringing director for Area 1 of the Handbell Musicians of America.
